Immigration Assistance for International Students
The following information will be helpful for international students to secure the necessary visas to come to the Philippines for study. It is recommended that students prepare necessary documents and clearances before leaving their home country. Students are responsible for securing documents, visas, and paying of all fees. The laws of the Philippine may change, so please check the web sites below for the latest information. APNTS can only give limited help with the processing of visas and recommends the assistance of a travel agency after students arrive in the Philippines.
Requirements for Student Visa for Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary
1. Authenticated (with red ribbon) Proof of Adequate Financial Support to be done at the Philippine Consulate located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence to cover expenses for the student’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school dues and other incidental expenses; together with certificate of bank deposite.
2. Transcript of Records AND Diploma DULY AUTHENTICATED (with red ribbon) by the Philippine Consulate located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence.
3. Police Clearance Certificate issued by the National Police Authoirty in the student’s country of origin or residence DULY AUTHENTICATED (with red ribbon) by the Philippine Consulate located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence.

http://www.immigration.gov.ph/ — The official Philippine Bureau of Immigration website. Offers very important information for those who have questions regarding both immigrant and non-immigrant visa requirements. A should-visit-site for everyone. From the home page, researchers can know fees, procedures, etc. concerning their visa application.
Requirements for Change/Conversion of Status from Temporary Visitor to Foreign Student Visa (9f) (Under Section 9f of the PIA of 1940, as amended)
- Written endorsement from the school for the conversion of applicant’s status to student on the school’s official stationary signed by the school’s Registrar and stamped with the school’s official dry seal;
- Original copy of the Notice of Acceptance (NOA) containing a clear impression of the school’s official dry seal;
- Quarantine Medical Clearance Certificate by the National Quarantine Office (Philippines);
- Copy of the student’s Personal History Statement signed by the student with a 2×2-inch photograph recently taken;
- Xerox copy of the photo, date and stamp of the latest arrival pages of the passport of the student. The passport itself shall be presented to this office for investigation;
Bring the following documents with you to the Philippines:
- Proof of adequate financial support to cover expenses for the student’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school dues and other incidental expenses;
- Scholastic records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence;
- Police Clearance Certificate issued by the National Police Authority in the student’s county of origin or residence duly authenticated by Philippine Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the place: for students who have resided in the Philippines for less than 59 days. However, for students who have resided in the Philippines for more than 59 days at the time they apply for the said change/conversion of their admission status to that of a student, they shall be required to submit the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance.

- Application form completed (typed) and signed (2 copies)
- Pictures for each family member (12 pieces)
- Photocopy of passport information and visa stamp pages
- Barangay Clearance stating you are doing missionary work in your area
- Letter of Request to Bureau of Immigration and Deportation
- Security Exchange Commission Registration (with Jet Travel or another travel agency)
- Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches Certificate of Endorsement
